Spas (Hot Tubs, Jacuzzis) from Aabstract Pools
A Spa, also referred to as a Hot Tub or Jacuzzi, are a relaxing addition to any home, whether stand-alone or complimenting a pool, a spa is a great option. As permanent installations, they provide year round relaxation. Through heaters designed to warm water at a rapid rate and improved sanitation systems. A spa has become a popular choice.
Can I build a pool and then add a spa later?
Spas can be built as part of the pool, using the same materials as the pool, such as gunite, with a decorative finish and tile. This creates a consistent and attractive environment in the pool area. Normally, these are installed during the pool construction process, while they can be installed later. The cost for the later addition is significantly higher due to removing portions already in place from the original pool build, and then rebuilding them to accommodate the spa. A Spa can utilize much of the same equipment as the pool, so an addition of a spa at a later date can also require re-routing of existing plumbing, changing pumps and filters, etc... The same crew, equipment, and raw materials are used for spa construction. By utilizing those assets to also construct a spa during the initial pool construction phase is less expensive. Cost savings are achieved by not requiring those assets to return to install a spa at a later date.
What about Fiberglass Spas?
Fiberglass spas can be built into a deck, on a terrace, or even inside a home to create an attractive standalone installation. For interior installs, these are best undertaken while the home is under construction to minimize the destruction and rebuilding of existing structural items in the home, such as removing tile, changing electrical components and wiring, and updating plumbing to supply the spa.
How Are The Spas Aabstract Builds Different From Portable Spas?
Different than above ground portable hot tubs, installed gunite spas are designed for both relaxation, beauty and the social aspects. Most spas built by Aabstract Pools are designed with a comfortable seating area built into the perimeter of the spa, maximized for comfort and to optimize the space in the spa to enable multiple people to enjoy it simultaneously. This facilitates conversation by allowing everyone to easily turn to face the other people they are enjoying their time with. Our installations also balance the number of jets in the water to maintain water flow from the heater to keep the water at a consistent 104 degrees, (optimal therapeutic temperature for a hot tub/spa/Jacuzzi). While also keeping noise from the jets to a minimum, allowing for easy conversation between the occupants, and minimizing noise that can be heard inside the home or by neighbors.
Enjoy watching the stars, or quiet time with loved ones with a spa installation from Aabstract Pools and Spas.
